Achievement at the 36th IAOMR National Conference

The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, HP Government Dental College, Shimla, has brought great honor to the institution as its research paper secured the Second Prize in the Paper Presentation category at the 36th Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology (IAOMR) National Conference, held from 21st to 23rd November 2025. The conference witnessed over 900 registrations from participants across the nation, highlighting its prestige and competitiveness.
The award-winning paper, titled
“Diagnostic Accuracy of VELscope Autofluorescence in Detecting Oral Epithelial Dysplasia in High-Risk Indian Population,”
was presented by Dr. Rashmi Yadav, Junior Resident, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology.
The study was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Guru Prasad R., Professor & Head, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, with valuable academic support from the faculty team: Dr. Neeta Sharma, Dr. Shruti Pathania, Dr. Seema Bhoolma, and Dr. Satish Verma, whose expertise contributed significantly to the scientific quality of the work.
The department also extends its gratitude to Dr. Ashu Gupta, Principal, HP Government Dental College, Shimla, who congratulated the entire team on this achievement and expressed hope that such academic accomplishments and high-quality research contributions will continue to flourish in the future.
