“Prakriti se Sanskriti”: A National Platform for Cultural Heritage and Eco-Solutions

The International Conference on “Prakriti se Sanskriti” is underway at MSHIPA, Fairlawns, Shimla, organized by IQAC, RKMV in collaboration with Earth Just Ecosystems Foundation and HIMCOSTE. The three-day event, which concludes on November 30, 2025, brings together 130 participants from across the country, with 60% representing various regions.

The conference focuses on Indian Knowledge Systems in Craft, Culture, and Community, addressing pressing issues like environmental sustainability, rural livelihood, indigenous technologies, biodiversity, and cultural heritage. Renowned speakers, including Mr. Prabodh Saxena, Ex-Chief Secretary of HP, and Prof. Mahavir Singh, Vice Chancellor HPU, emphasized the need for interdisciplinary approaches, sustainability, and diversity.

The event showcases Himachali culture through traditional performances, including ‘Nati’ and a fashion show. Brainstorming sessions will explore environmental sustainability, featuring voices from academia, bureaucracy, and society, aiming to create a healthier, more sustainable society.
