All the doctors of the state will proceed on one day Mass Casual leave on the 14th of February

A meeting of the Joint Action Committee of all Allopathic Doctors’ Associations of Himachal Pradesh was held in online mode today at 6:00 P.M.

A consensus was reached on the following agenda:

The JAC will give a 5 days’ notice to the government for removing the anomalies announced in the latest pay commission guidelines and resolving the following issues of the medical fraternity of the state:

1. Non-Practicing Allowance for doctors of H.P. to be continued @ 25% of the basic pay.

2. Ceiling of Basic pay plus NPA should be capped at ₹237600 as per Punjab pattern and not fixed at ₹218600 as mentioned by the HP pay commission.

3. Assured Career Progression Scheme (ACPS)/4-9-14 time scale promotion for doctors should not be discontinued.

4. Post -graduate allowance (PG Allowance) for doctors with post graduate qualifications to be enhanced from ₹7000 to ₹20000 per month and Academic allowance to faculty working in state medical colleges on the same pattern. The PG/Academic allowance should be linked to CPI and be enhanced from time to time.

If all the above demands are not met on or before 6th February, 2022, all the doctors of the state will resort to protest as per the following schedule:

I. W.e.f. 7th February 2022 (Monday), 2 hours pen down strike (09:30 AM to 11:30 AM) will be observed at all health institutions of the state till 12th February 2022. Gate meetings will be held during these hours while wearing black badges.

II. All the doctors of the state will proceed on one day Mass Casual leave on the 14th of February (Monday).

 

If the demands of the JAC are still not met by the 14th Feb, the protest will be further intensified. During the pen down strike and Mass casual leave, emergency services will not be affected.
