Himtrek 2026 Kicks Off in Himachal, 510 NCC Girl Cadets Join Adventure Expedition 510 Girl Cadets from Across India Unite for All India Girls Expedition

The All India Girls Expedition (Himtrek) 2026 is being conducted from 05 June to 12 June 2026 at Jaypee University, Himachal Pradesh.
The expedition is being organized by **1 HP (G) BN NCC Solan under Shimla Group, PHHP&C Directorate**. The university provides excellent accommodation, training facilities, and a highly conducive environment for the participating cadets.
A total of five NCC Directorates are participating in the expedition, namely Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, and Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & Chandigarh (PHHP&C).
On 05 June 2026, the participating cadets arrived at the camp venue and completed the documentation and registration process. The camp has witnessed enthusiastic participation from 510 cadets representing different directorates across the country.
The camp is being managed by a dedicated staff comprising 03 Officers, 16 Associate NCC Officers (ANOs), 02 Girl Cadet Instructors (GCIs), 09 Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), and 14 Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs).
On 06 June 2026, the camp commenced formally with an opening address by Camp Commandant **Col Vivek Bhatara**. During his address, he welcomed all participants and briefed them about the schedule, objectives, and activities planned for the upcoming days. He also emphasized discipline, safety, teamwork, and the spirit of adventure.
Following the opening address, all cadets participated in the **Dumher Trek**, where they experienced the natural beauty of the region while enhancing their endurance, confidence, and team-building skills.
The day’s activities concluded with sports, recreational games, and a vibrant cultural evening, providing an opportunity for cadets from different states to interact and showcase their talents.
The Himtrek 2026 expedition aims to promote adventure, leadership, self-reliance, and national integration among young girl cadets from across India.
