A District Environment Plan for district Shimla has been prepared by Pollution Control Board

A District level Annual Conference was organised by State Pollution Control Board, Regional Office Shimla in association with Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Shimla at its auditorium in compliance to orders passed by Hon’ble NGT in OA no. 360/2018.  Aditya Negi, IAS, Deputy commissioner Shimla chaired the conference. A District Environment Plan for district Shimla has been prepared by Pollution Control Board in consultation with various stakeholder departments.The DEP covers 7 thematic areas
viz. Solid Waste Management, Water Quality Management, Domestic Sewage Management,
Industrial Wastewater Management, Air Quality Management, Mining Activity Management
and Noise Pollution Management. Sh. Shivam Pratap Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shimla, Dr. Ruchi Ramesh, Principal RKMV, Dr. Anurita Saxena, Associate Professor, RKMV Shimla alongwith representatives from stakeholders departments like Urban Development, Health Department, Rural Development, Animal Husbandry, Food and Civil Supplies, Mining Department, along with 200 College students participated in the conference.
