As part of the *Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2026*, a community cleanliness and awareness activity was conducted on 20 September at the Slaughter House, Krishna Nagar, Shimla, on the occasion of *World Cleanup Day*. The activity focused on promoting community participation, cleanliness, and responsible waste management.
Around *20 community members, including children and Councillor Shri Vinod Bhatia Ji*, participated in the cleanliness drive. *Approximately 60 kg of dry waste and 2 kg of special-care waste (broken glass)* were collected and segregated.
An interactive waste-segregation awareness activity and games were also conducted with residents and children.
The activity reinforced the message of Swachhata as a shared community responsibility and encouraged better waste segregation practices.
