Virtual Meeting by MoHFW GOI with States on COVID-19 Situation

 

Union Health Minister of India Dr. Mansukh L. Mandaviya along with Hon’ble Health

Minister of State Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar held a Video Conference review meeting in virtual

mode with the Health Ministers of all the States on COVID-19 situation & preparedness. From

State of Himachal Pradesh Hon’ble Health Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil along with Health Department and National Health Mission officials participated in the said meeting.

Honb’le Health Minister to the Government of Himachal Pradesh appraise the Government of India about current COVID -19 situation in the State that is as follows:

 At present the Active Cases in the State is 1933

 Current one week Positivity Rate is 6.6

 Daily COVID-19 Testing is around 5000

 Current Hospital Admission Rate is 0.9%

He specially highlighted about daily COVID-19 testing in the State of Himachal Pradesh that is

around 5000 per day and the average testing rate as per population is higher throughout the

country, there is sufficient beds availability at present in the State, sufficient supply of Oxygen

along with adequate number of Ventilators available in Healthcare facilities throughout the State

which can cater future needs in any exigency

At present there is no availability of COVID -19 Vaccine throughout the State on this the Hon’ble

Health Minister to the Government of Himachal Pradesh requested Government of India regarding

supply of COVID-19 vaccine to the State so that the precautionary dose shall be administered to

the public.

The State Government is regularly monitoring present situation properly and there is no need to

panic as the things are under control as well as the sufficient resources available with the State

Government but still public need to remain vigilant and has been advised to follow COVID

Appropriate Behavior.

State of Himachal Pradesh will ensure that COVID-19 coordination & review meetings at State &

District level shall be conducted on regular basis as per the directions given by Honb’le Union

Health Minister MoHFW Government of India.
