HP State Pollution Control Board Dharamshala organised various awareness activity including plantation
On the occasion World Environment Day ,the Regional Laboratory, HP State Pollution Control Board Dharamshala organised various awareness activity including plantation.
A painting, slogan and declamation competition was organised in Govt High School , Sidhbari Dharamshala on the theme of “Only One Earth” and the students actively participated in the activities. Smt. Sunanda Pathania, Scientific Officer , Dr Amit Pathania with Sh Pawan Thakur of PCB distributed the awareness materials to the students and the staff of the school and urged then to take every step to protect the environment.
A Workshop on Biomedical Waste Management and plantation drive was organised by Sh Sanjeev Sharma, Senior Scientific officer with Sh Ajay Kumar of PCB at Jersey Farm , Palampur.
Dr Ravi, Joint Director, Animal Husbandry presided over the function at Jersey Farm Palampur . The programme was attended by Dy Director Dr Nearest, Assistant Director Dr Mishra and others Vet. Doctors district Kangra. Plantation drive was organised in the farm of the institute and about 70 plants provided by PCB were planted by the participants . A lecture on Biomedical Waste Management was also delivered to all the participants to make aware them on the provisions of the rules, awareness material was also distributed.
Another programme at Ayurvedic Hospital Paprola was organised by Sh Ajay Kumar where awareness lecture on proper biomedical waste management, ban on single use plastic was delivered to the staff of the hospital followed by plantation drive in the premises of Ayurvedic Hospital Paprola. Medical Superintendent of the hospital , Sh Ajay Kumar of PCB and Staff of hospital participated in planutation drive in the hospital.
The awareness material on prevention of Water Pollution, Air Pollution and Management of Biomedical Waste was also distributed through inserting papplets in the news paper by Sh Manoj Kumar of PCB Dharamshala to create awareness in the public.
