Managing Director, SJVN today visited under construction 66 MW Dhaulasidh Hydro Electric Project, Himachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>During his visit, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma commenced the concreting of Dam with press of button at Sanotu, Hamirpur. With completion of excavation works at Dam pit and both the river banks, Dam concreting work has commenced today. Now, the project has entered into an advanced stage of construction. Sh. Sharma also inaugurated the Non-Family Accommodation for project employees at Salasi, Hamirpur. The bachelor accommodation has been constructed at an accelerated pace to facilitate the employees posted at project. This will also enable faster project execution by facilitating 24&#215;7 availability of the employees at project sites.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sh. Nand Lal Sharma took a detailed review &amp; monitored the ongoing construction activities at various project components. Excavation works at Power House site have also been completed and the first stage concreting of Power House will commence shortly. Excavation works of Tail Race Channel are also nearing completion. Sh. Sharma conveyed his satisfaction with the pace of work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the employees and contractor\u2019s manpower deployed at various project sites, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma motivated all to ensure the completion of the project within the scheduled timeline in December 2024. On this occasion, Sh. Parminder Awasthi, Head of the Project along with project officials were also present.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Foundation Stone of 66 MW Dhaulasidh Hydro Electric Project was laid by Hon\u2019ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi on 27th December 2021. The estimated cost of this Run of the River project being executed on Beas river is Rs 687 crores and the financial closure of the project has been stamped with Himachal Pradesh State Co-operative Bank. On commissioning, the project will generate 304 million units of energy annually. The levelized tariff for the generated electricity will be Rs. 4.46 per unit.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This hydro project is majorly contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the region. With the construction activities of the project in full swing, multiple job opportunities, direct and indirect, have been generated. The project has also given a boost to the local businesses.
