A retirement ceremony was held at Shimla on 16\/04\/2022 at the head office. While honouring Dr. Kumar, Member Secretary, HP State Pollution Control Board, Sh. Apoorv Devgan (IAS) said that Dr. Kumar was highly motivated and senior most officer of the State Board who contributed towards the growth of the organization.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Sharawan Kumar was born on 14th October 1964 at Ghumarwin, District Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh) and joined the service at HP State Pollution Control Board on 29th March 1985 at Jr. Env. Engineer and later occupied all positions such as Assistant Environmental Engineer, Environmental Engineer, Sr. Env. Engineer and recently elevated to Chief Environmental Engineer. He served most of the Regional Offices before elevation to Chief Environmental Engineer. Since then, he served the State Board for a period of 37 years and 17 days. He obtained his M.Tech degree in Environmental Science from IIT Roorkee, and Ph.D from Punjab Engineering College, Punjab University.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kumar was known for his integrity\/honest and sincere works in addition of promptness towards work delivery. Dedication towards the work was of highest level. The ceremony was attended by Member Secretary, Sh. Apoorv Devgan (IAS), Sh. Parveen Gupta, Chief Environmental Engineer, Dr. Manoj Chauhan, Pr. Scientific Officer, Dr. R.K. Nadda &#8211; Sr. Env. Engineer and other senior officers and officials of HP State Pollution Control Board.
